During a drug sweep through the central Jackson area law enforcement officers from several agencies coordinated their manpower. One stop included a man with plenty of money in his pocket plus a few drugs. -
Flood Water Search
Flash flooding swept through an apartment complex in Jackson catching many citizens off guard. Cars that were parked nearby floated into a stream. Jackson firemen had to search each vehicle to see if anyone was trapped. -
Reflection of Destruction
A killer tornado roared across Rankin County cutting a path of destruction that ripped roofs off of houses and flattened mobile homes. Shortly after dawn family friends joined in the salvage effort in the victims homes. A lone mirror was one of the few undamaged items recovered in the debris. -
Lucky Pilot
A pilot making a landing at a nearby grass airstrip became intangled in a high voltage power transmission line near Pelahatchie, Miss. The pilot was able to open his door and slide down a wing into the soft dirt of a cotton field. It took several hours for power company employees to remove the plane. -

Tornado Damage
Tornados passed through Brandon, Miss., ripping through homes and sending debris across the landscape. One homeowner found his airconditioner neatly crammed into the passenger's side window of his daughter's car. -
Broken Glass
The outbreak of war with Iraq lead to several incidents of vandelism against muslim property owners across the country. The Muslim Museum in Jackson received a brick in its front window. This action was out of the ordinary. The owner has found the Jackson metro area very tolerant of her faith and customs.
