America 24/7...A taste of submitted images
During a week in May, 2003 a "watershed" event occured in the history of photography. Digital photographers from across the country began creating images capturing the lives of people from across the country. A reported 25,000 professional and amature photographers turned their cameras on life in America and transmitted their results to a state-of-the-art editing system.
Over one million images were created. The best, approx. 1,200, were showcased in the coffee table sized book. The Rev. Dennis of Vicksburg is one of my photos that received display in the book.
When he married his wife Margaret, the reverend promised her a castle "that would be a monument to God." So over the years he slowly converted their grocery store into a traffic-stopping jumble of towers and signs.
I was one of 1,000 contract photographers to participate in the project.
